The Rose Castle

High above Oslo lies the gilded Rose Castle – an outdoors art project dedicated to democracy.

Experience an outdoor art installation in the forest above Oslo, with a view over the city and the Oslofjord!

The Rose Castle was created in gratitude to democracy, the consitutional state and humanism. Through 300 artworks, including paintings, sculptures, light- and soundinstallations – The Rose Castle tells the story of occupation in Norway from 1940 to 1945, describing the values lost and regained.

We invite all new students to experience The Rose Castle for free!
