The Nobel Peace Center is centrally located at City Hall Square in Oslo, in the historic Vestbanen building – the railway station from 1872.

The center presents engaging stories about Alfred Nobel, the Nobel Peace Prize, and the Nobel Peace Prize laureates through exhibitions, events, and guided tours.

Visit the Nobel Peace Prize exhibition and understand why this year’s Peace Prize matters to us all. DEMOCRACY ON THE BRINK is an exhibition about the struggle for democracy in Venezuela and how democracy is under threat around the world.

Paths to Peace explores how ideas from the past can contribute to a more peaceful future (nobelpeacecenter.org). The exhibition features rare works from the library of the Norwegian Nobel Institute, historic peace treaties, and objects connected to the work of Nobel Peace Prize laureates.

You can also immerse yourself in history through our permanent exhibitions on Alfred Nobel and the origins of the Peace Prize, and experience the Nobel Field – a light installation that tells the story of the many and diverse Nobel Peace Prize laureates.

Did you know this is your very last chance to experience the Nobel Field? After 21 years, this iconic exhibition will be taken down to make room for a new permanent exhibition dedicated to all Nobel Peace Prize laureates.

The final day to see the exhibition is 7 September.

The Peace Dove Flies
Every Friday at 12:00, a peace dove is released from the Nobel Peace Center with a message of hope, while the City Hall bells play Give Peace a Chance.
