We want you to have a safe and comfortable time exploring Oslo. On this page, we have collected some tips, tricks and advice to help you to stay healthy and preventing the spread of Covid-19.
Keep your distance
We know how much you want to hug your new friends when you meet to stroll the streets of Oslo. Please keep in mind, however, that keeping your distance is one of the most effective ways of preventing the spread of the coronavirus. Keep a distance of at least 1 meter, but the further the better.
Keep your hands clean
The SARS-CoV-2 virus that leads to COVID-19 disease is spread primarily via droplet and contact transmission, when the virus is transmitted from the respiratory tract of an infected person to a healthy person. Therefore, good hygiene is an important measure to limit transmission in the population.
Avoid touching your face with unclean hands. This will prevent indirect contact contamination from the hands to the eyes, mouth and respiratory tract.
Both hand washing and alcohol-based hand disinfection are, in most cases, effective methods of hand hygiene. When cleaning your hands with soap and water, be sure to cover all areas of your hand, and scrub for at least 20 seconds. Alcohol-based hans disinfection should be allowed to dry for at least 30 seconds.
