At the Historical Museum, you will find exhibitions on Norwegian history from the Stone Age to the Viking Age and the Middle Ages.

Get up close to one of the two best-preserved Viking helmets in the world, explore the spectacular stave church portals from the Middle Ages, and gain insight into the world’s cultural diversity through our ethnographic exhibitions.
You can find us in the heart of the city, at Tullinløkka right by Karl Johan. Free drop-in for students during the Student Drop-In.
Are you a group of 12 or more? Then you can book a free guided tour with us during Studentslippet. Remember to book in advance! Booking requests should be sent to omvisning@khm.uio.no at least 48 hours before the tour.
