The Nobel Peace Center is centrally located at Oslo City Hall Square, in a converted train station from 1872. The Nobel Peace Center tells the engaging stories about Alfred Nobel, the Peace Prize and the Peace Prize laureates through exhibitions, conventions and guided tours.
The annual Peace Prize Exhibition, WOMAN – LIFE – FREEDOM, tells the capturing story of the most recent laureate of the Peace Price, Narges Mohammadi. The will to change the world is an inspiring exhibition on Alfred Nobel and the history of the Peace Prize, which shows the power that resides in “the world’s most prestigious prize”. Until September 2024, you can also experience Yoko Ono’s creative art universe in the interactive exhibition YOKO ONO – PEACE is POWER.
In the Medal Chamber you can see a real Peace Prize medal, while the Nobel’s Field is the heart of the Peace Center. In this evocative room you get to meet every Peace Prize laureate surrounded by one thousand lights.
During summer, every Friday at noon, a real-life Peace Dove is released from the window above the entrance, bearing messages of hope.
